Cash in your Booyah's

September 2017, a Singapore based digital services company called Garena launched a battle royale game called Free Fire Battlegrounds for Android and iOS devices. Three years on and this 99-versus-1 FPS is one of the most actively played games in South Asia.

Since its arrival, almost every smartphone user that had a battle-royale game previously installed, added Free Fire Battlegrounds to their game library. While it offered a similar premise, it stood out in terms of events, competitions and the occasional ‘Booyah’ when you’re the last man standing.

Over the last year alone, the number of esports tournaments with Free Fire Battlegrounds has been on the rise. The game introduces a fresh change in the battle-royale genre and its crossover events and tournaments perhaps explains its high engagement rate.

In a recent development, Mobile Premier League (MPL), added Free Fire as one of many games where players can win real cash. As a platform, MPL offers real cash awards to registered players across a library of games including World Cricket Championship 2, Chess, Pool, Carrom, Fantasy Sports and many more.

Playing the survival shooter on MPL allows players to showcase their gaming talent and skills and potentially win some money on a daily basis.

The two prerequisites for a chance to earn money on MPL are downloading Garena’s Free Fire and downloading the MPL app. Once done, on the MPL app, navigate to the Free Fire game and tap into its tournament section. Find a tournament that has available slots and register using your Free Fire ID. Post registration, you will receive joining details for the tournament 10 minutes before it begins.
